Strong performance on the GMAT exam is a good indicator of success in the program. While we do not set a minimum GMAT score, we look for strong quantitative and verbal abilities as evidenced in those key measures of assessment embedded in the GMAT exam. A majority of our Lehigh MBA accepted students score in the 70th percentile or above on their total score, a good measure of the strength of your peers.
NOTE: The GMAT is optional for FLEX MBA applicants. Please see the Admissions webpage for more information.
The GMAT or GRE test score submission is Optional for FLEX MBA applicants. Applicants who choose not to submit a GMAT or GRE test score should provide us with evidence in their application that they can be successful in the FLEX MBA program without a GMAT or GRE standardized test assessment.
Please see the Admissions webpage for more information.
Prerequisites are not required in order to be admitted to the program. The program's prerequisites: Statistics (ECO 401), Financial Accounting (GBUS 401) Principles of Economics (ECO 001), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent. The prerequisites must be completed prior to specific core course work. Students can begin regular FLEX MBA course work and complete prerequisite course work simultaneously.
Lehigh offers the prerequisite courses online, a convenience of which most students take advantage. Principles of Economics and Statistics may be taken at another university upon submission and approval of a course syllabus. Financial Accounting may be taken at another university; however, students must successfully pass the FLEX MBA program’s accounting proficiency test in order to complete the prerequisite.
Interviews are offered at the request of the admissions committee, typically to clarify or further explore an aspect of the application.
A minimum of two years of professional work experience is required. The average work experience of our student body is six years. Professional work experience adds to a competitive application and to your classroom experience.
Each applicant presents a unique skill set for consideration. Your application is carefully evaluated on your academic abilities, motivation, and maturity to complete graduate studies successfully. Evaluated areas also include past academic performance, leadership skills, accomplishments, and contribution to the learning environment.
The Graduate Programs Office Office is happy to schedule an individual appointment with you to discuss your credentials and your goals, and to discuss with you the opportunities available to you as a Lehigh FLEX MBA student. To schedule an appointment, please contact us at business@lehigh.edu.

FLEX MBA core courses will not be waived due to their integrated nature. Direct course transfer towards elective course work will be evaluated on a case by case basis. The request to transfer will be evaluated by the FLEX MBA Program Director, appropriate Department Chair, Graduate Associate Dean of the College, and the University Registrar. Students must submit an official transcript, course description, course syllabus, and transfer petition. The courses may not be from an earned degree and must be graduate level course work completed within four years of the first enrollment in the Lehigh FLEX MBA. The minimum grade for transfer courses is "B" and the maximum number of hours permitted to transfer is six.
