Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
“I've bounced back and forth between technical and management roles in my career. Now that I'm mid-career I've begun to focus on leadership and management. I looked around at various other sources of professional development and found that the MBA was the most complete source of the skills and knowledge I need to provide more value at work in leadership positions.”
Why did you choose an MBA at Lehigh University?
“Lehigh is a very reputable university, and I work with several very talented Lehigh alumni. The Flex MBA program met my goals of being in-person as much as possible while offering the flexibility I need to keep up with personal and work priorities. Being from the Lehigh Valley, the program is local for me and gives me the opportunity to network and learn from local professionals.”

Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
"After leaving the Army, I was fortunate to get an opportunity with Kraft Foods and step into a Brand Manager role. The Army taught me how to be an effective leader, how to critically problem solve, how to adapt on my feet, and how to both collaborate and compromise in a high stress environment. Working within brand management gave me the business exposure I needed to get back into the corporate world, but it was just scratching the surface of the knowledge and development I felt like I truly needed. Going back to get my MBA and attend Lehigh University for a second time was an opportunity for me to broaden my skill set, grow some opportunity areas I had, and enhance my knowledge in the places I was interested in."
Why did you choose an MBA at Lehigh University?
"For me it was simple because it came down to two things, quality and flexibility. I needed to find a program that not only supported but understood the demands of someone who was working full time and had a family with young kids, two very taxing and demanding prospects. The flexibility of integrated classrooms operating both live in person or live online allowed me to interact with my professors and classmates without feeling left out or isolate. I also wanted to ensure that I was being taught by people who had done the things they were teaching, through experience and practice, with real life examples I could learn from and relate back to the work I was doing. Lehigh University has both of those things and so many more, not to mention the location is ideal for anyone in and around the Lehigh Valley."
