Lehigh University's Fed Challenge Team
The Fed Challenge is a national competition organized by the Federal Reserve that encourages students to engage deeply in monetary policy analysis and economic research. Participants act as policymakers, analyzing current economic conditions and presenting recommendations for monetary policy in the same way as Federal Reserve officials. This experience gives students a broad understanding of macroeconomics, the Federal Reserve System and how economic policies impact the broader economy.
Lehigh University's Economics Department is excited to participate in the Fed Challenge. Students prepare throughout the year through a Fed Challenge Club that meets regularly, allowing students to refine their analytical skills, work collaboratively and develop presentations that address real-world economic issues. During the meetings students discuss critical economic and financial indicators, explore monetary policy and gain valuable presentation experience all in preparation for the competition. Our 2024 submission to the Fed Challenge Competition is available here.
To join Lehigh’s Fed Challenge Club please express your interest to Prof. Fabio Gomez-Rodriguez.
