The Small Business Development Center at Lehigh has won a $300,000 Small Business Administration Program for Investment in Microentrepreneurs grant.
With this grant, the SBDC will be partnering with three other SBDCs in Pennsylvania.
“The PA Microenterprise Advancement Project will develop comprehensive growth-stage educational and cohort-based programming to assist disadvantaged microentrepreneurs in the next stages of their business,” says Brett Smith, director, Lehigh University SBDC.
“The goal of this program is to enhance microentrepreneurs’ operational capacity, market reach and financial sustainability.”
This grant is part of an effort to award $7 million (with grants ranging from $83,000 to $400,000) to 28 mission-oriented nonprofit organizations across America.
