Lehigh’s undergraduate Energy Economics Club Officers, Huilai Gu, Adhitya Jayasinghe, and Salvador (Josh) Tarun, beat out graduate teams from top universities around the world to win second place in the Annual International Case Competition in Chicago. Read more.

February 2018 | The Wharton Undergraduate FinTech Hacks

Lehigh’s FinTech Club co-sponsored a hackathon with Wharton’s club, with 150 or so attendees from schools like Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Penn and NYU. Two groups of Lehigh students both won first place, bagging a collective $7,500 in prize money. Read more.

FinTech Guest Speaker Series: Status and Potential of Blockchain

FinTech club president, Dean Zimberg ’20, and club members organized a spring speaker event featuring Lehigh alumni Kevin Worth, CEO of CoinDesk, and Sapan Shah ’11 '17G, the first Subway Franchisee to accept bitcoin.

Family Business Club 

Established: 2017

The Family Business Club enables students to:

  • Meet and network with leaders from family businesses;
  • Organize field trips to family businesses;
  • Invite business leaders to campus to discuss issues specific to family businesses;
  • Initiate opportunities for work shadow and internships;
  • Conduct individual research.

Dinner Roundtable Discussions

In recent months, the Family Business club has brought to campus a number of entrepreneurs and family business owners for a series of talks and discussions: Dr. Ira Lieberman ’64, Founder and CEO of Lipam International; Ferd Thun ’56, Lehigh's Director of Planned Giving from 1973 to 1995, former engineer at SKF Industries; Matt Bieber, Software Entrepreneur and Investor; and Bill Hindle, CEO of HindlePower: Leadership challenges over three generations.
