Program Overview

Do you sometimes find yourself wondering what it really means to be a leader? What is expected of you beyond the general responsibility of overseeing a group of people or a project? What do you need to demonstrate that indicates you are going to be an effective leader?

This program is designed to provide a framework that can answer these questions. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of how you can feel confident as a leader while remaining true to who you are. You will know what you can do moving forward to demonstrate high performance in your role.

We will explore the topic of leading vs. managing, discover the vital few elements of leadership that will provide the most impact on your success, you will gain insight into how you "fit" those elements, and learn what you can intentionally do to close the gaps.

In this program, you will delve into 5 best practices of exemplary leadership:

  • Model the Way: Set the example by aligning actions with shared values
  • Inspire a Shared Vision: Envision the future by creating an ideal and unique image of what the organization can become and discovering how to articulate that vision in a compelling way
  • Challenge the Process: Seek innovative ways to change, grow, and improve
  • Enable Others to Act: Empower your team members, promote collaboration, and strengthen others
  • Encourage the Heart: Recognize contributions and celebrate values and victories

The focus will be on applying what you learn, emphasizing the issues and challenges you will face in your day-to-day experiences.
