The Rauch Center for Business Communication oversees the business communication course sequence that is required by all undergraduates in Lehigh’s College of Business.
In the first year, BUS 003: Business Communication I introduces students to a strategic framework for communication. Students start building competence using the framework in a Non-Profit Immersion Practicum that engages them with organizations in and around Lehigh. Later in BUS 003, students apply the framework to connect with Lehigh alumni in a range of activities that build perspective, networks, and business communication expertise.
When business students achieve junior standing, they engage in BUS 203: Business Communication II to develop their communication competencies, particularly with respect to presentations.Special attention is focused on using data persuasively to achieve communication goals.
