Welcome to Lehigh's MS in Applied Economics Program for Agricultural Economics Students at NTU

This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified graduate students to pursue advanced degrees in agricultural economics and applied economics, bridging the academic excellence of National Taiwan University and Lehigh University.

Program Overview

The 2+1 program allows students to complete two graduate degrees in two phases:

Year 1&2 at National Taiwan University:
During the first two years, students will earn credits towards their Master’s in Agricultural Economics (AGECNTU). The curriculum includes core courses such as microeconomic theory, applied econometrics, macroeconomic theory, research methodology, and seminars, with a focus on agricultural economics.

Year 3 at Lehigh University:
In the third year, students will transition to Lehigh University’s College of Business to complete the Master's in Applied Economics (MSAE) program. This one-year, full-time program includes specialized courses in econometrics, applied microeconometrics, and policy economics, with elective tracks in Competition and Market Analysis or Policy Economics.

Curriculum Requirements

The 2+1 MASE program at Lehigh requires 30 credits in total with a minimum of 21 credits taken at Lehigh and 9 credits taken at NTU. Students must receive a minimum grade of B in AGECNTU courses to count toward the MSAE degree.

Students must complete 17 credits of required courses and 11 credits of elective courses prior to the start of the MSAE program. The course breakdown is listed below.
