After graduating from the University of Michigan with his MBA in finance in 1989, Peter has spent the past 35 years working exclusively in foreign exchange for various money center banks and broker/dealers as a trader and trading manager.
Peter began his FX career at Chase Manhattan Bank where he started up their Emerging Markets Desk and then went on to be named the Global Head of Trading at BankBoston/Fleet. He was then Chief Dealer at AIG and witnessed the collapse of the Capital Markets Division of that company with the 2008 Financial Crisis. Following that, Peter became Head of Emerging Markets Trading at MF Global. In 2010, Peter moved over to the sales side where he built an Indian Rupee Sales/Trading business at FC Stone and is now at Edgewater Markets in a sales/trading role.
In 2019 while still working at Edgewater, Peter took on a full-time lecturer role at Middle Tennessee State University in the Finance and Economics Department of the Jones College of Business. Peter taught both undergraduate and MBA classes including, Principles of Corporate Finance, Financial Systems, & Managerial Finance. Peter was also the faculty advisor to the Investment Club, and a member of the Career Advisors Committee.
In August of 2020, Peter started at The Gatton College at The University of Kentucky in the Department of Finance and Quantitative Methods as a lecturer. At Kentucky, Peter taught Corporate Finance and Investments, as well as overseeing the University of Kentucky Stock Pitch Competition. Peter was the faculty advisor for the Finance Society and the University of Kentucky Pickleball Club. At Kentucky, Peter started up a subsidiary of Edgewater Markets where he led a group of students trading currencies every day as part of a business called Wildcat Trading. Peter plans on starting up “Mountain Hawk Trading” once he gets settled at Lehigh.
