
Haoyan Sun's research interests are in the broad area of the economics of information systems. Her research applies empirical methods to study the problems related to the effect of emerging technologies on user behavior, business strategy, and digital platforms. Her work was presented at various premier IS conferences such as the International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS) and the Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST) and she is published in some of the most selective business research journals such as Information Systems Research (ISR) and Production and Operations Management (POM). Haoyan has developed and taught courses in business analytics since joining Lehigh. She currently teaches a business analytics course at the graduate level. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Forster School of Business at the University of Washington.
