CFS Faculty Fellows oversee affiliate programs, such as the FinTech Minor, Investment Management Group, which includes the two student-run investment funds - Dreyfus Portfolio and Thompson International Portfolio, and the CFS Student Fellows Program. Professor Donald Bowen
Co-Director, FinTech Minor, CFS Faculty Fellow
Donald Bowen III is an assistant professor in Finance and co-director of the Fintech minor. He received his PhD from the University of Maryland. His research focus is primarily on corporate finance and governance, with a special interest in innovation and corporate investment, particularly in the realms of startups, IPOs, venture capital, and patent markets. He uses natural language processing and massive textual datasets to find new ways to measure conceptual ideas. His work has been published in Management Science and presented in many forums.
As a CFS Faculty Fellow, Prof. Bowen oversees the FinTech Minor and he teaches the capstone in which students work on a project about emerging issues for a corporate sponsor. Previous capstone projects have included: fair lending, sentiment analysis, credit modeling, and the application of blockchain technology to municipal bonds.

Professor Chen Cai
Director, Bosland Financial Services Lab, CFS Faculty Fellow
Chen Cai is the director of the Bosland Financial Services Lab and a Teaching Associate Professor of Finance. Her teaching and research interests include international finance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, and corporate governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Georgia State University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brown University.
Before joining Lehigh, Prof. Cai served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Business of Cleveland State University. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Professor Patrick Zoro
Program Manager, MS Financial Engineering, CFS Faculty Fellow
After more than 20 years working in NYC as a banker, Patrick Zoro is now teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses. He is also the director of the Master in Financial Engineering program along with its associated podcast and conference by-products. Prof. Zoro also teaches the Sponsor-driven Quant Practicum Capstone course with more than 32 projects at its helm.
He served as Managing Director for BNP Paribas (New York) in the Portfolio Management Group. In that role, he developed strategies, policies, and procedures to manage credit migration (CDS, Loan Sales) and investments (CDS, CLO). In previous executive positions with BNP, Prof. Zoro managed multiple teams of professionals and was responsible for managing investment, hedge activities, and trade execution. He has since developed working relationships with asset management firms, blockchain entities, banks, and financial organizations via his year-long capstone projects.
As a CFS Faculty Fellow, Prof. Zoro oversees the CFS Student Fellows who help out the Center and assist with ad hoc research. Learn more.
