College to Career

The Lehigh MS in Management program is a 9-month, full-time, cohort program designed for students with a non-business undergraduate degree and less than one year professional work experience. It paves the path from college to career by building a business skill toolbox that helps you define your career goals, sharpen your business acumen, and receive the experiential learning that sets you apart. The MS in Management provides the perfect launch pad for a positive and rewarding career trajectory.

Experiences inside and outside the classroom make you a more valuable asset to a broad range of organizations and roles. A comprehensive one week orientation defined by exposure to professional development and business leaders provide context for the program.

Are You Eligible?

Applicants with a non-business undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Business minors may apply. No more than one year of full-time work experience.

Pre-term Orientation

A one week pre-term orientation designed around the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) annual Job outlook survey that identifies the top attributes employers seek on applicants’ resumes.

You will discover what behaviors are effective in a fast-paced, changing world and workplace, learn how to use your voice and leadership to get more done faster, better with less through comprehensive communications and presentation skills workshops. You will also be well prepared for campus recruiters with resume, cover letter, mock interview, and LinkedIn workshops. Exposure to business executives, alumni, and networking opportunities enable you to identify career opportunities. Team building activities, discussions, and lectures round out the experience.

Nine months and two academic semesters

Course work focuses on the core areas of business management such as accounting, finance, statistics, management, economics and marketing. Graduate faculty use lecture, case studies and classroom discussion, with the program culminating in a capstone course that ties together all the learning and concepts with a hands-on business simulation.

Executive Presence and Professional Development

Central to this program is the focus on intentional and continual exposure to personal and professional development. Beginning with an intense array of professional development programs and job search workshops during orientation, topics are enhanced and developed over the semesters by Career Services including on-site Career Trek visits to East Coast business centers such as New York and Philadelphia.

Unique and Expanded Professional Development

As enhancements to professional development, additional and optional experiential learning opportunities are offered. These include international business trips that enable you to meet with C-Suite individuals from some of the world’s leading international companies and highly visible small business consultancy projects through Pennsylvania’s number one Small Business Development Center.
