The Ph.D. program is a balanced approach to both research and teaching.
Lehigh's Ph.D. in Business and Economics is a full-time program in economics offering fields of specialization in health economics, applied econometrics, empirical macroeconomics, and labor economics.
Focusing on the applications of economic theory and econometrics, the training of our program prepares students for careers in academia, research institutions, private industries, and government agencies. We have placed our recent graduates in tenure-track positions at research and teaching institutes, post-doctoral positions at top research universities, and consultant and analyst positions in healthcare and financial sectors.
