Full teaching professor and industry veteran, Robert Kuchta, is a member of the Department of Management at Lehigh University. Robert has 35 years of deep-seated experience from top industry conglomerates AT&T Bell Laboratories, AT&T Corporate, Lucent Technologies, and Agere Systems. With exceptional dedication, he currently handles the core responsibility of delivering comprehensive content for both the rigorous MGT 301 (Strategic Management in a Global Environment) undergraduate and advanced MGT 462 (M 2 Experiential Learning) graduate capstone courses. Professor Kuchta’s classroom abilities are supported by his having won the College of Business Teaching Excellence Award twice in the past four years.
As the visionary director of the innovative business minor program, Professor Kuchta plays an instrumental role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow by bringing to life the multifaceted realities of today's competitive business environment. It arms students in the arts and sciences, engineering, and health colleges with essential competencies to decisively participate in a firm's strategic decision-making process. These competencies are built around courses ranging from negotiating skills and project management essentials to product innovation, marketing strategies, business accounting, financials, and supply chain management and operations. This rich curriculum is delivered by a distinguished panel of industry-leading executives, carefully selected by Professor Kuchta.
Beyond teaching and administrative responsibilities, Professor Kuchta takes charge of the program's comprehensive coordination. Supported by an exceptional staff, he oversees promotion, student recruitment, admission processes, program monitoring, faculty recruitment, as well as curriculum review and modification.
Having secured a B.S. in engineering technology and an M.S. in management science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Robert brings academic rigor to his work. Not just limited to academia and professional service, he also manages his personal marketing consulting firm, demonstrating his versatility and deep expertise.
