Van Shell Jr., 1-MBA Executive Advisor

Van Shell is an Executive Director and Client Advisor at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He serves the specialized financial needs of wealthy families and individuals, specifically focusing on top law firms and their partners. 

Van has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to re-joining J.P. Morgan, he was a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. In this role he developed customized wealth management solutions for law firm partners, financial services professionals, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Shell worked as an Investment Counselor at the Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group and Global Investment Specialist at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Law Firm Group. At Citi and JP Morgan, he provided tailored asset allocation and investment strategies that met the financial objectives of law firms and their partners.

Van holds a B.A. in Government & Urban Studies from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is on the Board of I Challenge Myself, which provides opportunities for public high school students to strengthen their bodies, minds and spirits through fitness programs.
