Dr. Michael Rivera is an assistant professor of Business Information Systems in the department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) at Lehigh University College of Business. Before joining Lehigh, he was a faculty member at Temple University. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University.
Dr. Rivera's current research focuses on real-time feedback, digital transformation, and digital leadership. He has published several papers in Information Systems Research and presented his research at leading conferences, including ICIS, POMS, AMCIS, and INFORMS. His teaching primarily centers on machine learning and AI strategy.
In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Rivera is active in the industry. He has co-founded two analytics and technology-based startups and has consulted for organizations such as Lockheed Martin, Mars Wrigley, Subaru of America, and American Airlines. His dual experience in academia and industry allows his research to influence practice and practice to inform his research.
