
Keli Rytter is a teaching assistant professor in the department of accounting at Lehigh University College of Business; joining the department in July 2025 and bringing over 25 years of both public and industry accounting experience. Professor Rytter is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in 2000 and Masters of Accounting in 2001, both from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
After graduation, Professor Rytter started her career in public accounting at EY in Assurance and Business Advisory Services in Philadelphia. She transitioned to industry as Sarbanes-Oxley was introduced into law to implement the groundbreaking legislation in the Pharmaceutical Research Institute of Bristol-Myers Squibb. After working to implement both Sarbanes-Oxley and Accounting for Stock-Based Compensation (FAS123R, now incorporated into ASC 718), Professor Rytter joined the Johnson & Johnson family of Companies where she would spend the next 16 years progressing through various finance and tax leadership positions in the company’s 3 business sectors; Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products, and Medical Devices.
Immediately prior to joining Lehigh, Professor Rytter managed the North America Regional Tax Planning function for the Johnson & Johnson’s spin-off, Kenvue. She was instrumental in standing up critical Kenvue tax capabilities including the global cost models, external tax benchmarking and US State Tax strategy. She also played a key role in advancing tax at Kenvue, developing organization capability and leading change in North America and across the globe. Throughout her career, Professor Rytter has been well known for her open communication skills, her business acumen and her pragmatic approach to problem solving.
