Hee Young Kim is a teaching associate professor in the department of management at Lehigh University College of Business. Prior to joining Lehigh, she served as chair of the Management Department and associate professor at Rider University.
She earned her Ph.D. in Management from the NYU Stern School of Business and her B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Her research examines social status, workplace well-being, cross-cultural management, and collective identity. Her work has been published in Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Social Psychological and Personality Science, among others.
Before entering academia, Professor Kim worked in investment banking and private equity with Goldman Sachs, MBK Partners, and Credit Suisse in New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul. These experiences continue to inform her teaching and provide students with practical perspectives on leadership, organizational behavior, communication, and negotiation.
