Dale F. Falcinelli '70 '72 M.A.

Senior Professor of Practice

Dale F. Falcinelli

Management
Program Director, VentureSeries, Flex-MBA Entrepreneurship Track; and Program Director, The Consulting Practicum, 1-MBA
Office: RBC 484F

610-417-1235

A longstanding member of the Lehigh MBA faculty, Dale is the creator and director of The Consulting Practicum, the centerpiece in Lehigh’s new one-year 1-MBA program. He is also the creator and director of VentureSeries – a wide array of graduate-level entrepreneurship courses that make up a popular track in Lehigh’s part-time FLEX-MBA program. Dale was formerly the director of LehighSiliconValley, an immersion program he founded that takes fifty-six Lehigh students from all campus walks to the world’s foremost tech hub over the winter break. He also enjoys steady contact with undergraduate learners in Entrepreneurship & Enterprise, an experiential course that connects with the NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco and whose focus is on the venture capital-backed company.

For many years, Dale advised hundreds of CEOs and boards of early-stage and emerging growth companies. No stranger to capital raises and company exits, he still finds time to serve as a lead investment banker with Spouting Rock Capital Advisors, a boutique merchant and investment bank with offices in Bryn Mawr, PA. Dale has sat on numerous boards of both public and privately held companies and made guest appearances on A&E, PBS, and Fox Business. He has also lectured in both the MBA and executive MBA programs at the Wharton School in Philadelphia and San Francisco campuses.

Dale has served as the alumni chairman (advisory council) of tthe Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity, and Innovation. He received numerous teaching and professional service awards, including MBA Teaching Excellence awards, the Farrington Award for Outstanding Commitment to Entrepreneurship at Lehigh, and the Entrepreneurial Advocate Award given by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern PA. He holds a B.S. in business & economics (with honors) and an M.A. in economics from Lehigh University, where he completed doctoral coursework and oral/written exams with a concentration in corporate finance. Putting aside efforts to complete his dissertation, Dale left Lehigh to join a Fortune 500 company to pursue job opportunities in industry and, in later years, found his way into management consulting and investment banking professions -- a career path that spans nearly four decades.
