College of Business Dean Georgette Phillips Joins Association for Real Property and Infrastructure

The nonprofit group disseminates leading-edge thinking on worldwide real estate and infrastructure challenges.

Georgette Chapman Phillips, the Kevin L. and Lisa A. Clayton Dean of the College of Business, has been invited to become a member of the Association for Real Property and Infrastructure. ARPI is a nonprofit organization that acts as a forum to study issues arising from the ownership and development of, and investment in real property and infrastructure. Membership is by invitation only and limited to 100 active members to ensure active participation and interaction.

“This is an incredible opportunity to be exposed to some of the most knowledgeable and best qualified real estate professionals in the world,” said Phillips. “APRI not only fosters discussion and analysis about potential real estate problems, they advance practical solutions.”

“We are excited to have Dean Phillips join our organization,” said Steven Horowitz, U.S. chair of ARPI. “Her research and teaching experience focused on the intersection of law, economics and public policy within the context of the built environment will be a tremendous asset.”

Phillips has been the dean of Lehigh College of Business since July of 2014. She is a professor in both the Perella Department of Finance in the College of Business and in the Africana Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Dean Phillips holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees.
